The Orchid Konnection was born in 1993.

Until then, I was a hobby grower, collecting any interesting or what I thought was interesting orchids at the time of all kind of different genera.

This love and passion to growing plants has followed me all my life, since the early days in the Kibbutz in Israel.

In 1993 I defined my interest to Phalaenopsis. This new discovery and passion to Phals, took me to the other side of the globe, to the Kingdom of Phalaenopsis – Taiwan.

There I found a new world. New colors and  a new patterns of a new line, never seen before – the Harlequins, but also new Reds and Yellows, not available at the time in North America. This led me to import many new hybrids and mericlones from various Taiwanese nurseries, and make a close relationship with some of the best-known growers in Taiwan.  This new discovery and passion also led me to start the Orchid Konnection.

Since than I have received, well over 150 AOS Award recognitions (HCC’s, AM’s, CCM’s and few AQ’s to crown the list).

We have a special interest in yellows and reds and in recent years, the harlequins are our new ‘baby’, but also producing some exciting multifloras and art-shades.

We maintain a large number of our own stem propagated plants, most of them from our extensive awarded plants and some of selected mother plants which we consider of Award quality and we use them in our breeding program.

We also have a list of our newest crosses. Some in flasks, some are in compots and some are near blooming Size seedlings.

We have a new Web Master. The new site will deliver to you the spirit of the Orchid Konnection – Colors and Excitement.
